Haven

Inspired by a wonderful friend's soft words ... Emily, you're amazing!

I watch with wond'ring, twinkling eyes,

The drifting of the butterflies.

Their wings so soft with golden light,

Take hold my heart as it takes flight.

Resplendent rays of sunshine beam

In splendor through the sky they gleam

Bewitching hour, night to day,

This moment where I long to stay.

If I am dreaming, please don't wake,

I pray not "for my soul to take."

Encircled by your loving arms,

I lay in peace and safe from harm.

A woven net of safety here,

A place so free of every fear.

A magic moment, cloaked in love,

Ascending to the stars above
