The Dark

When fear & loneliness leave you in the dark.

When you're down and out

Nothing left to shout out

When your soul seems last and you're left

tossed up in the air

 

No one seems to care and with one last tear falling down your cheek you push away all feeling , so weak

Wondering if they  ever really cared while you were in the dark cold , alone , scared. feeling the darkness creep steadily inside of you. Wishing, hoping , praying it would hide you . Knowing inside the depths of you soul  you weren't good enough despite what lies you'd been told.

 

The jokes the cruel humour circling around your head moving nearer and nearer wishing everything and everyone would go away so you could hear happiness clearer but NO it fades away into the shadows of the dark

Leaving behind an encasing of who you thought you were , who you use to be

Tricking you into what you thought you could see

Finishing off those cruel remarks as you , oh you yourself fade into the dark.
