Our Love

Sleeping in your arms

I feel secure from harm.

I wish the  nights were longer then the days

'Cause I don't like watching you go away.

Many years have come and gone

Yet we're still together and our love had held on strong.

You're my soul mate, my best friend

My true lover to the end.

Looking into your eyes i can see that sparkle and shine

Which makes me smile knowing your love is mine.

Although we both been hurt have and cried

We're stick still, 'cause our love never died.

I do think true love never dies. It might morph into something greater or something not so great but it is still love and sometimes no matter what love is what truly holds a person together. It is stronger than glue and...just so much better than anything really. I think a lot of people think hate is stronger but hate really doesn't get you anywhere. In fact...I believe some people use hate as a way of protecting themselves from love...and I just realized how much I am rambling tonight. O_O Anyways...a wonderful write.

Love is the word we throw around the most. Very few of us these days truely understand it or the raw power it holds. I'm glad that you have found it. As for the poem, I like it, and the rhymes go well in sync. But you did spell "can" wrong in the 5th stanza.
