Tangled

Tangled

A Poem by Babbette Francis

You tangle my thoughts, knotting up all I had laid straight.
I pull apart all that you’ve raveled in my mind,
but at rapid speed you defy my efforts.
I’m lost in a maze of webs,
tied up in a crazy twist of poisoned rope and freedom,
yet I rest here,  well aware I’ve already lost the battle in my mind.
Not too much longer now before my heart gives in and I wonder how I was lured here,
knowing the risk was lethal.

Hi Babette .. so long since i read you or said hello.. i like the words you used .. as in: You tangle my thoughts, knotting up all I had laid straight.
This is a sad poem that makes me think of resignation and realaztion perhaps a mistake was made.. wonderful weaving of words..

A well expressed poem concerning matters of the heart. Of all the mysteries in the universe, we are the greatest enigmas that exist. Outstanding piece or poetic art! I like it!
