Black Rage

Black Rage

A Poem by Babbette Francis

From my heart
arises the darkness I have hidden in the rays of the sun

Rage blows through me
like the winds of hurricane force

Hate becomes the strength I need to move you
I cast it to the winds

I cast all my fury
for the storms that you’ve caused in me

The lightning strikes
and I stand

The rolling thunder sounds
but I am not afraid

The sparks fly from my fingertips
and sand rains down

The world stops
for the spinning of the moon

Sounds as if the narrator is drawing strength from all the hate, violence and negativity they have experienced. Reminds me of the song "And My Fury Stands Ready" by My Dying Bride. This poem seems like it could be part of a larger piece, with a story behind it.

Hate becomes the strength I need to move you
I cast it to the winds"

such power and vigar in your words that sweep, blow like hurricane force expression, no pun intended,
the messege is powerful and speaks from the essense a sense of betrayal and broken heart
as the overwhelming feeling washes of the meaning like rain, I agree, brilliantly done.

Always brilliant, dear. Well written. Fierce < I'm sorry if Beyonce has ruined that word > and a strong voice. I haven't heard from you in a while but I hope it's because you're too busy writing brilliant poetry and not because you're done talking to me these days. Well done.

Your words are very powerful in this piece. People may think that hate can move mountains but 'tis really LOVE that can tear them down. You are growing so much as a writer. Can't wait to read more :)
