The Point

The Point

A Poem by Robert J. Huntley

Sucking down the poison to quicken the pace

Romanticizing cool in an awfully redundant matter

Justifying a need so basic it makes me sick

This is the only medication suitable for my illness

Whatever they are trying to be they are failing

It is human nature to do the unthinkable

These are the reasons for life and everything else

not bad, not bad at all, a lil bland .. tying, i think you meant "trying"
the wording started out really stong and focused but kinda went weak toward the middle and end,
but the intent and skill is there, thanks for sharing your talent, all and all great poem, but could be better.
