Slipping Casually Into Conversation

Slipping Casually Into Conversation

A Poem by Robert J. Huntley

An old friend drops by

to remind me of my flaws

and the taste of my own soul

Bitter thoughts of all the s**t

we have left to swallow

in this life's buffet

While waiting

stuck in an elevator

between the 3rd and 4th floor
