A Prayer Before Sleeping

Breaking down again

with no one to blame

 

Not that it ever

stopped me before

 

When time catches up

which it always does

 

We are always so surprised

despite ourselves

 

So we dance

with our lies

 

Until the dawn

rescues our illusions

 

And tomorrow

seems almost probable
