Live From Reno

Live From Reno

A Poem by Robert J. Huntley

Fasten your seatbelts
the whiskey
may taste of past mistakes
but tonight
is about here
and now

Right here they thought
they would stand their ground
but from here
we all see
the score
and know

Some abuses
cannot be forgiven
while other treasons
are for our own good
after all is said
and done

There is nothing
to tie this all together
except this truth
we live as we die
and nothing ever really mattered
but happy
