Frustrating Ourselves

Frustrating Ourselves

A Poem by Robert J. Huntley

Punching the dark

wandering the floor

Counting the tiles

waiting the wait

Failing to see

the forest for the fire

Forever pounds itself

foolishly across the bow

A boat lost at sea

in a time before the sky

When we all still had

a fighting chance

Before the tide turned

its ugly back on our hope

In a time when we all

washed our hands of each other

About
After a year long self imposed exile from Writer's Cafe I have returned. I will not be re-posting whatever pieces I lost in the great crash. If you are one of the few who read my older work, and for.. more..
