The History of AirA Poem by BWOzFree Verse; I attempt to span eons. Present day archeologists find cave symbols, interpret them, the flashback to ancient reality when the symbols were first created and how people reacted.
History tells that air,
symbolized by squiggly lines and small dots, was discovered by archaeologists on a cave wall next to angry monster heads; an awful stench bubbled up killing birds and bugon, interpreted: "just what we do not need right now". Other grooves, horizontal rakes on sky, brought fierce winds over nine moons, a snake with a smile when no words yet could tell this. At last, sunrise; the cave relaxed, symbols of calm returned. Just to be sure, women threw children into icy rivers, just to be sure. © 2020 BWOzAuthor's Note
