Fuzzy WuzzyA Poem by Brandon Wesley MckayA play on the back story of a beloved old children's poem. ( was it a poem, It might have been more of a limerick. )Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had great hair. He'd a thing for the honeys. They thought him quite funny. And for him Many went bare. In college He met a lady. Tables turned She drove him quite crazy Went out Spent his money on a ring for love bunny, This lady He did want to marry. The engagement he planned was lovely. Said yes, They were one and onlys. He spoke to her dad Who thought him mad, Talked to her sister, said he'd make a great Mister And surely They'd never be lonely. For the wedding He needed cash. Else all of his plans yet might crash. He got a new job He managed a store No longer had time for the things he adored Till his head he wanted to bash. Bears are not meant For the office. Well intentioned though, He wouldn't stop it. He slowly went bitter lost all his fur, His fiancee, she drifted love no longer heard. Till she left him, No longer his poppet. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Alone with his shop, now hating his life. Untrue to himself, lost his future wife. left sobbing in his lonely lair. © 2015 Brandon Wesley MckayAuthor's Note
