Oh the things we think about at the bar.....

Here I am.

Sitting at the bar.

....again.

Drinking.

The same Newcastle

The same 1800,

That I drink every time 

I come out here. 

Bombarded.....

And 

Smacked around....

By the Guitar. 

That well loved Guitar. 

Scratch marks and fades.

Beaten wood grain.

Chipped and stained.

This Kind of Love is

Rare. 

and Brutal. 

This kind of Love

Is beautiful.

Beautiful all around. 

And as I watch

This guitar....

 

Slapped....

Hit....

Bruised....

I long for that

Kind of love. 

That luscious

Vicious Love.

I've a guitar at home. 

It's alone right now. 

I've not the 

Time

Or Passion

To commit to it. 

Oh, 

But if I could...

Put that much

Energy. 

And Emotion...

Into Anything.

An instrument. 

A painting. 

A Relationship....

Dear god. 

We'd be

Unstoppable. 

Hell. 

I'd be unstoppable. 

That kind of Passion....

My Brother plays 

Amazingly. 

I get Jealous. 

Funny how...

When I stop by....

He always seems to 

Pull 

That 

Damned 

Guitar 

Out.

Envious....

It's what I am. 

He will be amazing. 

In Life.

Envious.

It's an older one. I forgot I'd written it. Came across this written on an old bar napkin.
I was right about a few things. Most importantly though....

I wished I knew how to play a guitar. This is a cool interesting piece. I like. Kinda me remind me of a pirate for some reason. Are you are pirate?? No I'm kidding. But I do like this though made a little movie in my head.

No joking, I get the pirate remark all the time. Also, no joking, I do own a Pirate coat I got at the Ren Fair this year....but the pirate remark came long before the coat.

I am not a pirate. I haven't a boat. And I can't promise that, were I to own a boat, I would be a pirate. I would fake it, though. I would fake it so hard.
