In the 2nd grade of elementary, my family moved to the Olentangy school district in Ohio where we learn absolutely nothing and go to at least two field trips a week. In the Spring we had recces and since i had no one to play with at the time i ran off into the grass and then, found my first four leaf clover in a large patch of clovers. Once i showed my teacher, she laminated it with tape and when i got back to the same spot there were a few more that i picked. Next year it became an addiction. I would go out behind the sandbox with my friends Sarah and another kid ( forgot his name) and we would pick out all the four leaf clovers that we could find. I was the only one who managed to pick out 4 or 5 clovers, my friends found probably 1 or 2 a week. They gave up after a while. I stopped looking in the middle of 4th grade. When we moved to Delaware City schools, where its mostly made up of bullies, i was living in Silver Maple at the time. I was helping mom grow sunflowers when i looked over and found clover patches all over the yard. I found at least a hand full within 2 minutes. During art class our teacher handed us a book to keep our artwork in. I remembered taking it home with me to tape clovers in it and sometimes i would shove some in my drawer. Before i moved it was the middle of summer when i found my first five leaf clover. A lot of the friends and teachers thought i was obsessed with finding four leaf clovers. After I moved again to the town of Ashley i was getting ready to start high school. I tried looking in my yard for clovers but none of the patches had anything other than 3 leafs. In my junior year i decided to go to the Delaware area career center for IT Media and after class ends and i wait for the bus i found that there were entire patches of four leaf clovers everywhere. I decided to pick one everyday and laminate them between the books i had in my bag. One day i found a five leaf before the bus driver pulled up. She asked me if I'll ever try the lottery. I decided to give her one of my five leafs already laminated and the next day when the bus pulled in i got on and she had a huge smile on her face and the seat behind her was full of sodas and treats. She told me that she won 50 something dollars on a scratch off ticket on her way home and thought to bring us some food and drinks for the ride back to the high school (there was only 3 people that ride the bus). Next year the bus started getting us here 20 minutes early so i decided one time to take a walk on the really long sidewalk next to the career center. Although i didn't find many clovers there the ones i found were abnormally huge. The problem that i had with collecting clovers is that most of them dissapeared over the years. I still collect clovers today because i found a tiny spot behind the shed that has nothing but four leaf clovers. I managed to even find 5, 6, and one 7 leaf clover just in that particular spot. The ones i kept are inside my pillow case with my gemstones. You would think that collecting that many clovers would make you super lucky, or rich but to my surprise, we're still poor. I tried the lottery sometimes and i only get my 2 dollars back.
