Chapter 1 in the novel "All quiet in the mind".

"

 “May. 9 1999

“People are crazy.

Our race is just a batch of greedy f*****g animals to be disposed of.

Much like those damn cockroaches… (eat, sleep, s**t and repeat)

Daddy I want a bike for Christmas

Mommy I want a puppy for my birthday

I want

             I want

                          I want.

It’s all about me you sick dumbass.

How I wish life was a video game. The humans you don’t like you kill, the people who annoy you… dead. End of problems.

I wonder what the part of the brain that tells the mind not to kill is called?  Was I born with it?”

-What the f**k are you looking in my journal for?!

-***-

Removing my hands from under the sheets I grabbed my phone laying on my night stand. Trying not to strain my eyes, which were stuck together for a brief moment, I opened them slowly hoping the light wouldn’t flood in at once. Now it was 9:45 in the morning. My girlfriend -I mean my cheap w***e- was fast asleep. I could feel the dried semen pulling the hair of my pubes and it hurt like hell. My stomach was feeling like s**t, and my head felt as if a demon was chiseling out my brain with a jack hammer. -Bleh, I hate morning.-  My hair was plastered to my face. The only disadvantage to my long hair was the mornings when I had to brush it. So why the f**k should I?

Last night had been fun I remembered drinking like there was no tomorrow and the weed me and Lilly shared was top of the line (F**k grammar, I could care less if it was “Lilly and I” If I say me and Lilly then so be it.) Past the begging of the night, all I had was little half-a*s glimpses of the party. I could recall talking to a few people and briefly dancing like an idiot. The end of the night resulted in making love to Lilly, and boy how many positions did I try! –you little devil!-.

“Damn it!” Gross. I almost lost balance there. With all the s**t on my floor it was hard to believe I didn’t. I guess I did do too much partying. Stepping in my own vomit near my night stand was always a sure tell sign.

“What happened Dylan? Are you ok?” Lilly asked in a low sleepy voice.

“Nothing baby, just running late for work… go back to bed I didn’t mean to wake you.” I quickly threw a shirt over my puke and headed to the bathroom.

I hate Sundays. I really do. –Used to be when my parents forced me to go to church. Hehe what a waste of those mornings. The only thing worth the wait was the free donuts-

Ever since me and LillyDon’t dare correct me- moved out we had real responsibilities. We both worked to pay for the apartment rent. Lilly worked at a bank (Monday through Friday) as a teller and me, a series of jobs. Mainly on the weekdays I worked as a local car part driver, but I also helped with plumbing jobs, roofing, construction, and for the past year every Sunday delivering shipments of computers for a mere $275. -which my c**k sucking boss said would go up after the first f*****g month-  Yet, still no raise. But hey that damn job is what gave me the money for my beloved rotgut and Mary Jane.

Where’s my keys? Ah yes in the living room. I always seem to loose my keys when I need them most. After all what would I do if I couldn’t drive my 1981 GMC work truck? –Haha its sort of an inside joke but what the hell I’ll tell you anyway. It was the only car I ever stole, and best of all it worked like a charm- It was s****y all right. Looked like some kind of illegal w*****k truck straight from Mexico. F**k you could cram at least 3 beaners in there and maybe 4 if they were tiny ones. -GOD DAMN my head hurts!- If there was a god asprin must be one of god’s angels. Well I’ll take 3 now and ill take the bottle with me just in case. Time for work.

Graphic, powerful use of words, written just like the person was thinking or expressing responses to a morning after a wild evening. I look forward to reading more of your work.
