False Cry

False Cry

A Poem by Brandon

As a tear falls from your eye

I place my finger under your chin

Pushj your head up to where our eyes meet

I say, I'm there for you

Our eyes lock

I place my hand on your cheek

Ask, what's wrong

Your say forget about it

A tear splats on the floor

I'm there for you

But you continue to push me away

And I continue to come back

I begin to wash your tears from your face with my thumb

Time and time again you resist to open up to me

If you tell me I could raise your spirits

Make you feel like we're the only two on Earth

But once again you tea me down

I wish you could see how perfect you are

And I could treat you better than he did

While making you cry

From laughing too hard
