ExpressionsA Poem by Busola S. KoladeTrapped in a Secret
I walked into the room,
With a feeling of an impending doom But as I entered, Rendered speechless I was, For, He looked happy to see me. Is that gigantic smile really for me? Careful I was. It's a trap, He wants me to let down my guard, Well, I won't fall for this trap. Anxious I was. The more he smiled The more suspicious I was I walked into the room, And into his arms spread wide, ready to receive me. Cautious I was We are alone in this sound proof room Hi! I said, my voice croaking Hi baby!, he said. Confused I was, For he sounded happy to see me. I got you something, he said. He is still smiling, What! What did you get me? My voice still croaking Well, us, baby I got us a 1 month romantic trip to the bahamas! Surprised I was, For he sounded not just happy, but excited as well. He is still smiling. Oh my God, this must be a joke Then it dawned on me, Then, sad I became, He doesn't know what I did! © 2016 Busola S. Kolade |
