Precious Gems.

Precious Gems.

A Poem by Ryan Hamill

Precious gems

A lifetime of taking, and now look what you're given,

A heart full of love, tied up tight with a ribbon.

Presented so softly, with hugs and soft glances,

This here is a heart that has taken few chances.

There's hope in those eyes, you can see how they shine,

how they track every movement, how they seem to stop time.

A quick gaze stretches on, time will feel like it's on hold,

and suddenly a warmth blooms, in a heart black and cold.

You're jaded and gloomy, a true doubting cynic,

Love is to be judged, and you're it's worst critic.

You're dripping with Sin, You're nature is Carnal,

Her's is of innocence; You are nothing but Harmful.

Think of those fingers, that held your hands tight,

They're made to grip bed sheets, till her knuckles turn white.

Or imagine those lips, picture them, how soft and how red,

How they'd feel on your skin, as you laid her to bed.

Heaven might fall one thousand more times,

But you'd never notice it, held tight in her thighs.

You'd both move together, A bond would build, that of trust,

You'd look in her eyes, they'd mirror your lust.

Love would blooming as you begun to know each other,

What started as Friends had now become Lovers.

You would praise "Hallelujah!" you would finally know,

How one single person can change the whole show.

Your world, it would cease, and it would no longer exist,

It would become something else after that first perfect kiss.

But that's the big question, it's what you should ask,

F*****g is one thing, to love is the task.

So.

Are you worthy? Are you up to the challenge?

Precious Gems given to Grubby hands.

Handled with reverence, but handled none the less
