Confessions

Confessions

A Poem by Bria Love
"

These are the confessions of a lover's heart.

"
I wake up thinking about you
I saved your pictures to my phone,
so that way when I'm not home; I'll still have you with me.

I wish I can record all of our conversations and play them on a loop
My heart skips a beat when I see your name appear on my screen
I feel you
I miss you a second after you leave
I need a reality with just you and me.
I'm afraid to lose you,
but the thing is:
I don't even have you.
Not in the way that I want, anyways
My body needs you in the midnight hour.
Show me your love; let me feel your power.
I find some excuse just to get a reply out of you
I'm everything that you want me to be
What do you want to do?
Longing for your touch; needing your kiss.
Touch me hard enough to allow it to linger long after your hand is gone.
Soft enough to hover above my skin causing goosebumps to appear.
Place your kiss on my lips and with this sharing of love; I'll be yours forever.
Your voice is how I imagine the angels above us sound.
I notice the smaller things about you that others look over.
The way you purse your lips.
The way you tend to tilt your head slightly to the right when you take pictures.
I notice the smirk- you do because you don't want to blush.
They say that the eyes are windows to the soul.
Yours are beautiful; they sparkle with the love that you have in your heart.
However, I see the hurt behind the eyes,
I see the pain that's beyond that smile.
I long to bear the pain, just so that you don't have to.
I confess that I love you. I confess that I always have. I confess that I always will.

I dream of you.
My heart was once a stone,
but the light has come through and shone; you brought this light to me.

This is something that I wrote today, I just allowed my mind to wander and gave my pen all permission. What you just read is a product of "letting it all go" or "letting the creative juices flow". Thank you for reading

There are other revealing qualities in this but it stands out to me. I feel it. Tender but firm.
