I THOUGHT
A Poem by Ja
When
I was born
I
thought nothing
As
a child
I
thought a few things
By
the time I was a teen
I
thought I knew everything
Then,
as an adult
I
thought I knew some things
By
the time I was a senior
I
thought I knew most things
But
now, as an old man, I realize
What
I thought, didn’t mean a damn thing

My Review of "I THOUGHT"
for Ja, a fellow Writer's Cafe Author
by PB Jacobs (www.writerscafe.org)
Sounds like something that belong's on an outhouse wall, out in the wood's. Yes, it's kind of a good thing, as your words about the test of time, will stand the test of time!
Are you sure you just didn't get too old to forget what you were saying, to begin with? This does happen with age. OR you could be getting screwed by some idiot project that means nothing, and they author the you know what end off to you!
Yeah, I'm thinking in terms of expanded thinking, and yes, you didn't write in that kind of mode, but I love the mannerism you reflect in your piece.
Your work reminds me of something a Native American would write. Though only a sliver Native American, myself, I'm thinking along those lines.
What really get's old? Is it you, or is it your desire to stave off idiots who figure out how to screw you exactly where it hurt's your livelihood and vitality? After all idiots will be idiots!
I'm learning that an overly-saturated peacemaker personality type within me only goes so far, as I have to make room to screw idiots, once and for all, so they leave me alone, and then they are pissed because I'm doing this better than they are!
Such is life!
Great words! I love this!
