PARK BENCH

PARK BENCH

A Poem by Ja

I once sat down, on a park bench

Right next to, this haggard old wench

Well she slid over, closer to me

And put her hand, upon my knee

She looked up tenderly, at my face

As I tried, to look off in space

She says to me, listen up my friend

I for myself, have had to fend

And since I am, one of a kind

I’m neither stupid, nor am I blind

So could you just, back off a bit

Cause I don’t need to, take your s**t

Well, I surely had, not a thing to say

But knew that hand, was still in play

So gently took it, from where it lay

Stood up, and slowly, walked away
