Silence and DarknessA Poem by AareaSome major personification here! Remember that as you read!A pulsing breath, A deep regret, for the breath that slows, then stops, A looming Silence, Left with no chance, No chance but to die, Silence and Darkness, met on a cold street, in winter’s chill evening, Waiting for a friend, Looking for him, He comes not a moment too late, He takes them to his home, That house of disown, There he needs their help. While Darkness teems, Silence muffles the screams, And Darkness closes the eyes, Light into Darkness, a silent abyss, Darkness overtakes, The quiet of no breath, Fills with regret, Nothing can breathe in the Darkness. Regret fills wanton hearts, Silence’s hate starts, Silence hates his fallen deed. Silence questions why, in Darkness they die, Now the Silence is dying. Darkness’s revenge is no breath, And Silence regrets, The deaths of the dead and the dying. For he knows now of Murder, As Silence grows colder, For Murder needs Silence and Darkness. But will Silence is shattered, Darkness is merely scattered, To return with the setting of sun, To return and to plague, But Silence is dead, For with the screams, Silence forever is broken. © 2015 AareaAuthor's Note
