ABC’s of Tobias Tubbs (A cat)A Poem by BMorrill
Acrobatic fur alien, always
Begging for a belly rub Creeps up carefully to Destroy felt mice, dreams of Emerald cat nip and elongated stretches early Friday morning, fights feet fiercly Gives grief to all things glowing, generally, flashlights Hacks up a hairball in the hamper, happy In his indoor kingdom, In the evening he Jumps after jingle bells Keeper of the cabinets Living large with his lavish lion cut Mean muggin on Mondays, wants more Nap times and never ending Orange nerf bullets, best friends with an old stuffed Pig, patiently waits before he picks at my pork Quesadilla quietly behind my back, thinks he’s a Red laser rock star, running around Spending time slaying Toy enemies, tucks his tail Under the blanket when he’s cold Vocal by the treat drawer Wailing like an untuned Xylophone, chewed through a Yo-yo string, cuddly when yawning and catching some Z’s © 2024 BMorrill |
