Chapter 2 - A New WorldA Chapter by BM_2211Nathan and Alden meet Perrie
As Nathan and Alden approached Covent Garden, Alden ordered the cab driver to stop at Seven dials. Alden took his pocket watch out of his waistcoat pocket, walked up to the sun dials, clicked the winder on his watch seven times and placed it at the base of the column. The hands on the watch started spinning, then everything around them started spinning, faster and faster to the point it knocked Nathan off his feet.
All of a sudden everything stop spinning, Nathan slowly opened his eyes to find everything had changed. Nathan recognised nothing, nothing except the sun dials. Alden helped him back onto his feet. "You are now in the mystical kingdom, Nathan." Alden picked his watch up and gestured for Nathan to follow him. "Where can i get one of those watches?" Nathan asked with enthusiasm. "Why do you want one?, you already have something far more powerful around your neck!" replied Alden. Nathan stopped to look at his new medallion, he thought to himself if Aldens watch could freeze time and work as a 'key' to the mystical kingdom and still wasn't as powerful as his new necklace, just what could this medallion do? "We can walk from here, Nathan." "And where exactly are we walking to? everything's disappeared Alden in case you haven't noticed." "Nonsense!" Aldens' voice become aggressive, Nathan was realising Alden had a bit of a short temper. "In a few moments we'll be in Lagolof." Nathan perked up, he knew he was moments away from seeing Perrie. As they were approaching the gateway to the small town of Lagolof, in the distance they could see a small funny looking man in a top hat carrying a cane. He was smoking a long pipe, very similar to Aldens. He smiled and called out in their direction "evening Alden, who's that you have with you?" "Evening Willas," replied Alden. "This young man is none other than Nathan Watson!" Willas' squinty eyes open wider in shock. He quickly rushed over to Nathan, looked him up and down and shook his hand vigorously. "Never the less Alden, as you are aware i'm required to ask all visitors for the password in order for them to gain entry." "Covent Garden market," answers Alden. The pair were granted access into Lagalof and proceeded towards the town centre. Along the way Nathan casually asked Alden "Covent garden market, why was that the password?" "This town is situated where the market place stands in the other realm." "Wouldn't everyone know that?" Nathan was smirking. "No Nathan, you see only humans can cross between realms as long as we rule this kingdom and that's how its been since the dawn of time. Therefore the enemy wouldn't have the faintest idea what stands here in the other realm." Nathan and Alden quietly stepped into 'the travelers tavern' pub. Inside it was dark and dingy, lit only by candles. It was full of unsavoury looking characters. Immediately everyone hushed in silence and starred at them. Nathan felt uneasy then a scream of delight caught everyone's attention, Perrie appeared from beyond the crowed bar. She had long blonde hair and deep blue eyes with an hourglass figure, She was a picture of beauty. "Nathan!," she sprinted over, jumped on him repeatedly kissing his face all over, everyone else then went about there own business. A friendly face approached the three of them. Alden said happily " Nathan allow me to introduce Billie, she is here to accompany you on your travels." Billie, a very beautiful woman, mix raced with long curly brown hair, tall and slender. She carries two daggers on her hips. Billie smiles and speaks of how privileged she is to help Nathan in his cause. "Perrie my dear, may i have a word?" Asked Alden, he leads Perrie to the corner table for some privacy. "Tell me, what do you recall of what happened to Nathan the other night?" "When we left the pub the other night, Nathan, Isaac and myself were walking past seven dials and everything began to spin, suddenly we were in this magical world. Then these very tall men dressed in all black appeared from nowhere, they wanted Nathans necklace. Nathan being Nathan refused, a fight broke out with the gangs leader but he seemed to have superhuman strength. He grew into this half man, half beast creature and threw Nathan around like a rag doll, knocking him out cold. The medallion began to glow very bright, the beast seemed to back off at this point almost like he feared the it." "Interesting," said Alden under his breath. "Then Nathan's body vanished right before my eyes. That's when you and Billie arrived," Perrie added. Alden stared at Nathan intently, again. "He's the one" he mumbled to himself. "Where did Nathan go?" Asked Perrie. "The necklace, it understood Nathan was in danger and unable to protect himself. It transported him back to London out of harms way," answered Alden. Alden gathered everyone together to tell them they are to make there way to Glido at first light. Isaac and the others will be waiting. © 2017 BM_2211Reviews
