The Stranger

The Stranger

A Story by BKor

My grunt of surprise was immediately silenced by a moist cloth which was clamped firmly over my nose and mouth. Knowing it had to be chloroform, I pretended to breathe in the chemical and slumped slightly in the man's hold. When he relaxed, I stomped hard on his foot and streaked down the alleyway to the main street, but before I had taken five steps the large man had caught me and pinned me against the wall. Angry, I kicked out my legs and clawed at the man with my fingers, and was rewarded with a hard slap across the face. Stunned by the force, my knees buckled and the man let me slide to the ground, knowing I could not get away. My head was spinning and I struggled to stand using the brick wall behind me as support but spider fingers dug into my right shoulder and my muffled cry of pain was quickly silenced. I tried to squirm so as to decrease the pressure applied to my chronic injury but the assailant was already enraged and only strengthened his hold.

Grabbing my wrist, he pulled me up and pinned my body against the wall, the stench of tobacco and alcohol stifled my lungs and I tried not to breathe although my heart was screaming. While I thought of what the assailant would do next- kill me or take my money- I stiffened as a cold finger slipped beneath the bottom of my shirt. Moving up, the claws groped at my breast and I thrashed desperately in panic but my shoulder was still screaming in pain and I was helplessly pinned to the wall. When he had sufficiently violated my breasts, his hand crawled down under the lip of my jeans and I flinched, drawing my hips back in a way that caused him to laugh. The relentless fingers moved under my panties and into the warmth between my legs. I knew that no one would hear me even if I did scream, and I refused to give him the pleasure of crying out like a pathetic victim.

I stifled my voice to bide my time and wait for an opening. Yet something was strange. My entire body felt as though it were heating up and my mind began fuzzing out like television with bad reception. My thoughts refused to connect and drifted off into the dark, and after a while I realized that the assailant had slipped a drug to me somehow.

I was unable to panic and my body refused to move. After his fingers had drawn honey from my insides, the man pulled his hand back and reached down to unbuckle his belt. Something warm and hard pressed between my legs and I managed to mutter a rebellious "F**k you." There was an amused smirk and he drew his hips back to thrust. I waited, but the pain never came. Instead, a large shadow appeared from the dark and dislocated the man's jaw with a single blow, sending him flying into a pile of rotting debris. Unable to support myself from the effects of the drug, I slid down the wall but was caught in the warm hold of the shadow that had felled my attacker.

Looking through my blurred vision, I saw dark hair and beautiful grey eyes like slivers of stone. He had a handsome face no human was worthy of, and his expression was devoid of emotion. As I slipped into a lucid dream of black waters, the stranger's beautiful silver eyes remained in my mind-- beast-like and cold.
