Darkchild's Lament

Darkchild's Lament

A Poem by Brooklyn Darkchild
"

A road well traveled lately...

"

Dang.

Are you there God? Are all these problems necessary?

R U Aware of how I'm feeling?

Kinda wanted you to know.

Cause I can't take much more of this.

Haven't I suffered enough?

I try hard, Lord; but I trust you.

Lead me on, I'll do my best to follow.
Down any path you chose.

DC ~

You already know...

This...IS ...who you are .....an ever Faithful powerhouse of faith
and child of Gods love
keep scaling the trials..... wait for the purging.. pruning...and refining to reveal his next move
and climb up into the lap of hope and comfort.
and wait...for the headache to go away...

You are the encourager... encouraging everyone else...even when you needed for yourselfYou remind me of the song... "For your faithfullness"

" Create in me a right heart.... GIVE ME BACK the joy of Salvation " ~ Psalm 51:

" Suffer hardship with me...as a good soldier of Jesus Christ " ~ 2 Timothy 2:3

" We will eventually GROW into UNSHAKEABLE oaks of righteousness " ~Isaiah 61:3

~ Love you

I like the way the voice comes out in this almost pleading to it's maker to at the very least listen to the words. Like the acrostic format and thought the lines were well worked - a clever idea to play with the first three 'Are's' as you have. Hope the pain goes away!

this is heartfelt and lovely. I wouldn't have caught the acrostic if you hadn't highlighted it - the poem just flows so naturally.
I feel this one today...

i can't say i'm a fan of acrostic poems, but in conveying this religious undertone, i think it works this way.
