Darkchild's Lament

Darkchild's Lament

A Poem by Brooklyn Darkchild
"

A road well traveled lately...

"

Dang.

Are you there God? Are all these problems necessary?

R U Aware of how I'm feeling?

Kinda wanted you to know.

Cause I can't take much more of this.

Haven't I suffered enough?

I try hard, Lord; but I trust you.

Lead me on, I'll do my best to follow.
Down any path you chose.

I agree. I have been here before if not there now. Real. And it is definitely a road well traveled.

i am SOOO sorry this has taken me so long to get to. I love this piece, it's so cool how you used your username initials to start each line. (sorry i can't think of the techinical term for doing this).

This is such an identifiable piece, as I know that I definitely go thru these times. Dang....there goes that word, "FAITH" again.

Dope write.

I have great empathy with this, as in the past, I too have felt your words most poignantly. You put it so finely, in the description; 'A road well travelled lately'. However, I take comfort in this passage, which I share with you;

Isaiah 35:8-10 (The Message)

8-10There will be a highway
called the Holy Road.
No one rude or rebellious
is permitted on this road.
It's for God's people exclusively-
impossible to get lost on this road.
Not even fools can get lost on it.
No lions on this road,
no dangerous wild animals-
Nothing and no one dangerous or threatening.
Only the redeemed will walk on it.
The people God has ransomed
will come back on this road.
They'll sing as they make their way home to Zion,
unfading halos of joy encircling their heads,
Welcomed home with gifts of joy and gladness
as all sorrows and sighs scurry into the night.

God's Blessing

You bring it home in this piece when you ask the questions and then.....slide your readers into the place where God wants them. You Rocked This Poem... instruments of God always do.
Holding you up in faith ....

What you conveyed i this piece is what I constantly go through and ask daily. You brung emotion and and you had a voice to go with this poem despite the length you made me relate. Good write
