Tattletale

Tattletale

A Poem by William Donovan
"

My oldest sister was my nemesis. She ratted me out every chance she had. A freckled tattletale who wouldn't rest until I was grounded for life. She ended up a lovely adult and a loving sister.

"

She was Nurse Ratchet. She was every girl who'd break my heart.
She was Patty. She was the oldest. She was a mob boss.
She was every DMV clerk I'd ever have to suffer.
She was a hanging judge. She told our parents each
time I smoked or drank beer or said s**t or damn.
I don't know how but she has 3 great daughters and David.
David is McMurphy from Cuckoo's Nest. Nothing's sacred.
Missionary sex in the dark with hymns is not his thing.
