Climbing into the elevator,

       Our eyes locked

We made love without touching 

The chemistry was exciting and intoxicating 

       Then you smiled…

Your smile almost got me pregnant!

       Then it was your stop…

We looked at each other longingly,

       Then you were gone!

Sometimes life judges a man or a woman by one act…

       What they did or did not do.

The mist in my mind lifted, and reality cut through my mind like bullets

      My legs flew as I ran  after you

Luckily I caught up with you, breathless from running!

      I could only stretch my hand towards you for a handshake.

i always prefer taking the stairs, but i might reconsider. one never knows what might happen in an elevator. :)
