My love is pure gold when I rise up to greet myself!

Like a chameleon, it takes on the color of the rising golden sun in the morning.

When my kids giggle and shriek in excitement ,

the gold becomes sprinkled with diamond glitters.

It’s becomes shimmery golden raindrops.

With my friends, it turns sky blue with platinum boarders and gets breezy.

It steps up its game in purple shoes, and a golden robe when  I am with you…

Then bursts into a cloud of myriad of colors when you smile at me.

So tell me now, 

I promise! I will not ask again,

what’s the color of your love ?

What a question, M'Lady, to answer honestly. It would take a better eye than mine; someone once said I'm color blind, but when I love I "feel" the color white. I wonder what that could mean(?) … perhaps, you know.

A beautiful joyful poem so finely penned and expressed. I love how when the children play diamonds are sprinkled on the gold. That is just gorgeous and your deep love for your lovely children shines through. I like to think of the colour of my love being white, because the colour white represents any and every other colour, just as there are many shades of love and many shades of gold. this ode to joy was really good. it was very personal, but your positive vibes are infectious. the colour of love for me is forest green. surrounded by trees is when i feel most at peace. around the people i love most, calmness is what i feel. so i always think about a lush green field when love comes my way.
