dream

a lie

this dream is coming to an end 
as all things die 
within a single heartbeat 
rests our quiet souls

as i wake 
we let go
until there's nothing left

giving up 
it crumbles at my feet 
as i kneel and soft words escape 
a silent prayer

never again will i dream this dream
please give up on me
i am nothing will be nothing 
forever and ever 
this is my prayer my final farewell
