Maybe The Rain

Maybe The Rain

A Poem by Brad

He’s building a house out of paper mache

On a hill in a land where it rains every day

Whatever is finished dissolves in the mist

He knows it is useless and yet he persists

He could build out of wood, he could build out of stone

But over and over he rebuilds, alone

“The hope,” he says as he slips in the slop

“Is that maybe, someday, the rain will stop”

A picture of hope, belief, and positivity. It's a shame more people haven't read this. Your words flow in this from line to line. Impressive writing, Brad.

Thank you so much. I don't know what else to say to such a compliment.
Waiting for the inevitable but building on hope of the improbable. It's an interesting picture of the waiting game. We can't wait forever to build but maybe we can find more permanent materials than paper mache and sand to construct our dreams from and solid foundations to rest them on. I enjoyed the read.
