Your idea is contrived

Says the Voice

Your word choices weak

You’re trying too hard

Don’t bare your soul

Don’t show your pain

Nobody cares

If you share what you make

Awkward questions await

So, aborted dreams and withered stories

that is what self=proclaimed critics might say...but then, do they ever feel that same pain? What do they do with it?
And if they write about it, do they get stomped on?
I like the play on "Leaves of Grass"---a leaf of a book, with a poem or two...about an aborted dream , a heartache or two...the hell with them, just write it out.

Since I never have writers block, pouring out a variety crap for 40 years, I often wonder why other writers get writers block & what is it like? There are hundreds of writers block poems on this website, but I still never really GOT IT until I read this poem. This is a great representation of the writer's mind flailing, having adopted & regurgitated every f*****g criticism ever received! This is a sad situation, but I love it becuz it's so well stated!
