If life were a playA Poem by W. B. G. SchreiberIf you were mine our life would be a play, As actors on stage we would spend our day. We would speak perfections too each other, A play of two we need not another. Passion would fill the stage of our romance, Enjoying our lives as if in a trance. Performing for an audience unseen, Every now and then we may be obscene. Our conclusion bow it will never come, And our play will leave you feeling so numb. The curtain of our show shall never close, I know this vision you could not oppose.
