Ballad of Kyle's grade and why

Ballad of Kyle's grade and why

A Poem by W. B. G. Schreiber

A student named Kyle resides,

In class of text and prose,

Essays be gifted in plenty,

But laziness arose.

“Lo we have listened to many a lay,”

Of Beowulf’s might, his glory of old.

But Kyle knew not of his fame,

For he slept he was so bold.

When time came of paper due, he

Blamed the dog fancy that,

But no dog had he who blamed it.

He owned a kitty cat.

Kyle intended to do it,

He wanted to do it,

However, he didn’t, and now,

His grade is in the pit

A time of Novels and of Notes,

A Tale of Two Cities,

He was to read, but a long list,

He had of grand pities.

He came, he saw, he conquered his,

Latin homework instead,

But he rather wiggle like a,

Lifeless fish in his bed.

Kyle intended to do it,

He wanted to do it,

However, he didn’t, and now,

His grade is in the pit

The Angles, Saxons, and the Celts,

Were to be analyzed,

When it was about time to write

He felt so paralyzed.

Riddled in and so tuckered out,

The biggest mess yet seen,

He mixed energy drink and pills,

An act he did not mean.

Kyle intended to do it,

He wanted to do it,

However, he didn’t, and now,

His grade is in the pit

A Ballad was to be written,

Of case and tragedy,

By partners it was to be made,

And joyous Rhyme there be.

He would have done it too except,

The ninjas came to town,

Leaving the ballad to his friend,

The ninjas, he took down.

Kyle intended to do it,

He wanted to do it,

However, he didn’t, and now,

His grade is in the pit

What lesson ask yee lies in this,

What matter of great weight?

Compose your essays of plenty,

And don’t procrastinate.

Question thee about tragedy,

When this be in good sport,

But it is obvious to see,

Just by his grade report.

XDD Fantastic. This was lovely~ I love parody poems so much. Especially when they're written almost seriously. This was a fun time & I enjoyed it a lot. Particularly the stanza "He would have done it too except, / The ninjas came to town, / Leaving the ballad to his friend, / The ninjas, he took down." Hell yes.^^

Have you ever heard the phrase...." Procrastonaters Unite!....tomorrow." I like this, and I ussually don't like this type of writing. But It was quite amusing. I hope kyle doesn't fail. That would be awful, and sad.
