The Creature

The Creature

A Poem by W. B. G. Schreiber

It knows when you are sleeping,

And when the daylight fades,

It comes through the trees seeking,

The next meal in the caves.

I say you build a story around this and use the poem as a device to introduce the legend of the creature to the characters. It doesn't feel forced, which is the biggest problem facing short poems in my opinion. I like it, good stuff, and I would love to see more.

I agree with your previous reviewer, you should definitely add more to this. As it is it works and is an intriguing read, but where could you go with this? What journey's could you take us on? The possibilities are endless. I'm hooked. :)

It's short and has merit. You could do alot more with this. I'd add more when you have time.

Thank you

Dave
