They frown to my feats

They frown to my feats

A Poem by BETHUEL TJEBANE

My heart dances to the Afro beats.
It's in delight though they frown to my feats.
It hasn't dawned on 'em that I'm anointed with the sacred blood.
Someone tell 'em I'll make it the same way Noah evaded the flood.

The village tryna fang and rip me 'cause I brought home the bacon.
"it takes a village to raise a child" that's word to Macon.
Smiley faces like hissing snakes tryna entice their prey.
"even through the darkest Valley, fear no evil", mommy said remember to pray.

Idle minds so eager to gag at my downfall,
Sadly, I'm stuck up in the airways.
Their sorcery at nightfall,
Backfired, so they're bottoming the stairways.

God unleashed his greatness and it let to my prosperity.
I'll pass down my optimism and faith in God to my posterity.
