Apologize

They say it’s never

late to apologize,

I disagree.

At some point  

it will get too late,

they won’t care

or they won’t be there

but that does not

mean you shouldn’t.

Just because you apologize

doesn’t mean that they forgot,

You don’t need
to be guilty to apologize.

You don’t need

to be wrong to apologize.

Apologize when you can,

even if it isn’t a mistake.

But like everything,

it has a limit.

Don’t apologize for

what you think is right,

Stand up,

for it.

they used to say 'never go to bed on an argument' always clear the air first, indeed stand up for your beliefs, if you think its right you have to stand for that, try to save a situation before it goes to far, its always right to be a peacemaker but some people forgive but never forget, that's a big problem for all :)

Powerful write. I think quite a few people mistreat the word apology/I'm sorry. They say it without meaning it, and that bugs me sometimes. But I agree with your poem. We should apologise to people when we get the change to otherwise it could be too late. Nicely penned. :)
