Tragic Past
A Poem by
Bhumika Devkota
If the sun falls down
there are other stars,
We may not survive,
But we know that we tried so hard.
If the water dries,
Then we won’t survive,
Nor will the animals,
Who came before us.
When the trees are dead,
We will only realize,
The mistakes we made,
For our selfish acts.
When the ice melts,
the animals will die,
They will only be a memory,
The memory of the tragic past.

You don't have anything that could improve this at all. You have put in so much meaning in this that there is nothing that needs to go in. You have drawn the reader and and take them on a journey. A journey that they will never forget.

Improve? I love how it is because it speaks the cold hard truth about humans
Selfish acts all over the place.
I sincerly love this poem and this is going to my favorites.
What a great poem!

You're are absolutely spot on.
Yes, there's room for a bit of improvement, but you shouldn't change it. Any of it.
This opens one's eyes. Exactly what people need.
A reality check. Well done!
