Dead Forest

Dead Forest

A Poem by Bhumika Devkota

Depressed , dead, gone,

No way to bring it back,

No way to go back,

The past is dead and gone,

No way to change it,

So why do you still get hung up by it?

When the unknown path is in front of you,

When everyone is waiting in the other side,

of the bridge of the past and the present,

So instead of looking back,

at dark dead forest,

Forget about the suffer

that you went through,

but promise to always remember the pain,

How lonely it felt,

How it felt to be alone,

How it felt to be so broken and hurt,

Look forward

because every second is a new chance,

because everyday is a new day.

Thank you.
This is a powerful poem. It not only let the reader know that they need to keep moving forward and not let them past control them. It also encourages them to do what they think is impossible.

Thank you.
Really awesome poem!
it was touching and reminded me of my friend who passed away…
(Read my story called the Blonde Girl, it's about her.)
I see lots of potential in your writing!
Keep it up!

Thank you a lot.
Really great poem. It was like a mantra for people who have experienced feeling this way, I don't think it needs improving at all

Thank you.
I don't see the need to improve, it looks as if you have entered the forest or maze of depression and come clear through to the other side, every line has a strong message and gives us an insight into the suffering behind a mind in turmoil but at the last the way is clear and yes everyday is a new day another chance to make advances for a better future, very well written :)

Thank you so much for your words Richard
I think it's a very inspirational piece of writing that so many will relate to and agree with.
The only suggestion I would make is to break it up at the end of each thought.
Nicely done.

Thank you Ana
One words of wisdom in here, and also speaks about reality
We feel lonely and fearful when depression knocks us down...
But we come back stronger to make it go underground
Beautiful poem!
