Lifeless Eyes

Lifeless Eyes

A Poem by Bhumika Devkota

Her words were strong and firm,

Her face showed no emotions,

Her heart was a piece of rock,

or at least that’s what others thought,

Looking at the lifeless eyes,

you see hurt and betrayal,

The pain she had gone through,

her envy for others.

They think she had everything,

but looking at the lifeless eyes,

You see a lost girl,

hopeless with no destination in mind,

no place to call home,

Now you know why she was brave

all the time,

But she is gone,

never coming back,

and all you see of her,

is her lifeless eyes.

Very emotive poem that is very descriptive. Gives the impression of being about a run away.

Thank you BeeBev
The poem is really good, a very good description about a hard-rock girl, I kind of didn't understand the line
''Now you why she was brave'' I think You ment to say ''Now you know why she was brave''
But after that, The poem is really good I really like it
