Fallacy to Kill By
" Binu Peiris I succumb,
‘Tis a curse, A lover at Zeus’ wrath, A love, A doomed punishment. I desire YOU, A personage, A blend of flesh and blood, A fervent lover, An Angelic guardian, A fine admirer. I shall await thy presence, An essence which shall diminish
the dull, An angel who shall empty
the tetrad of walls, A love that shall grant
tranquility, I shall await thy advent. Why do I see YOU? Why do I feel YOU? Why do I sense YOUR
presence? Is it a delusion? I sense my desire, The ultimate need, A decisive providence by God, Yet, I wonder… I am aware, I do not feel YOU, I sense YOU, YOU’RE a shadow, A shadow of my own. I yearn for another, Another to sate my void, Another to foolishly love
me, Another to saintly defend
me, This ANOTHER a blend of
flesh and blood, Why not a sense? A hollow soul. I am aware, Thus, it is revolting, It is my own, It is myself, That offers me liberty, A plague of a desire. The hunger over ANOTHER, Is no sin, Yet, it is ignorance, That cherishes a sinner, It is MY OWN, It is valiant, It is myself, It is no fallacy. © 2021 Binu PeirisAuthor's Note
