![]() Somewhere between the pinesA Poem by BAlexander![]() South Carolina![]() Tucked somewhere between the pines in South Caroline; you star gazed and wondered if there was any place better. The trees danced to the beat of the breeze; the way the house shook gently when the train went by, surely no place is better. The roll of the waves in Charleston left you breathless and jealous of this who called it home. The summer rain which never quite seemed to last long enough, like a glass of iced tea it was fleeting and never enough. You promised yourself you'd make it back here someday, but just as time rolls on you became busy and caught up thousands of miles away. You look at pictures of your time there and find yourself sinking in feeling and wonder how many more nights until you are back in your place between the pines.
