The hunt for a man’s Diamond

 

Pacin back and forth

like a strung out junkie

lookin how he got guard dogs

And flunkies watchin his back

OMG…the cat is so whack…

But

The truth of the matter is

We should all be afraid

The test of time

And of rhyme and reason

Has come to past and everyone

Is about to become amazed

I’m semi-faded

Gorgeous but just as jaded as the day

I was when he to me became an enemy

Wow

How time past when one is not having fun

I casually start a conversation

About when we are going to

Get our plans movin…my pre-wedding jitters has begun

SMH…

It has really gotten this far

That’s okay though

Cuz a gurl needs money

Security, control and a

Smack brand new car

Who gives a care about love

This is the reason I’m here…LOVE

I heard he home

From a friend of a friend

Wifey all smiles

She gotta child

Something I didn’t know

So know he’s a daddy too…that’s a fool for you

He got some time with his family

Out on a furlough

I wonder how long it gonna be

Before he lets us know

The streets can’t keep no secrets

And I guess that’s a good thang

But

I am looking forward to his body

Oh how I have been craving

I know he mad

And I truly don’t care

I know he wants me

And can’t stand that I’m here

I’ma play this hand

To the death of me

Cuz -I hate this man so much

Because loving him has driven

Me

Completely crazy….

Although this is a serious piece, I thought it also had touches of refreshing humour that help it to move along nicely BaBy. This reads like a little story within a story, which is also refreshing and different. The content is topical as many go into this type of relationship and regret having done so...some do go crazy!
