WHAT

WHAT(something I just thought of)

WHAT is BLACK:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Is it

an absence

is it a darkness

an evil

that no one who

has entered it can

be released...

Can it be related to

doom, or to dying

since it is only assumed

that things fade to BLACK

but I thought those said

that a WHITE light was seen

Is there Blackness

without Light

or is it considered

hoplessness..to be destroyed

by brilliant vibrant light..

Then what AM I

am I truly BLACK

and he TRULY WHITE

to be ascribed as a COLOR

not a race...

It is impossible to ascribe me race

since I am a product of

a multi-cultural genome

so why is it that I am comfortable

calling myself BLACK....

Well for me it is like the "X" that

Malcom took, he knew not who

he was so decided to continue

to not know, but to work on

becoming who HE was

A MAN

So I accept my state

of Blackness not as

an individual who has no choice

but the choice

to let it stand as a

reminder that

I

KNOW not WHO I am

but I create that which is to become and

has arrived

A WOMAN

One of substance, integrity,

faithfulness, justice, and most

of all most powerful of all

LOVE

considering that spiritually we aren't a body at all, nor do we have a color or even a gender i dig what your layin down here. Cuz in truth you are not even black! or eve a genome! I love and completely agree with your sentiment. What is a color or a general race determination, like: asian, latino, caucasian. We are all just God's lovely creations; made to serve Him and serve unto each other. A great poem with a fantastic message. I am what they call caucasian; I have no idea what that is. I am italian, hungarian and irish. But, most of all, I am Gods own child who listens to his voice and respects all of the people he puts me in front of.
