I GIVE IN

FINDING AND REFINDING SELF AND LOVE

 

 

Living in a world of
Self inflicted pain
I give in and allow myself to forgive
To let go of hurt and anger
To say I shall be the proverbial woman
Never shall I NOT say I am not worth it
Never shall I NOT say I am unequal
Never
Shall I NOT desire, want and then receive all that is due to me
But
I give in

I give in to the fact that we are NOT all created equal
And what is easy for me may be monumental for you
That my view and yours will collide, this is okay
I give in to the fact that leaving was not the best answer or was the best that I could do
But
It was a necessity

I give in to the thought of errors
And mismanaged love

Now since I have had ample time to see the space that I live in

I give into healing
I give into rekindling
I give into shared space and honoring change
I have given into the thought of assistance and even the thought of
Sharing some of the tasks that I put to the back burner as unimportant
I have given into the idea of patients and persistence
I am allowing myself to love me greater in order to give greater love


I know not really where it all will end up
But I have this knowledge of ME that I never would have found
So

I give in to self love
To self improvement
To self education
To pampering
To soul salvation…mine

I give in to letting God keep my mind captive
Since I am not always sound
I give in to being quiet
I give in to humility

You have NO idea how much this one struck somewhere deep within me this morning. Like you knew what my heart and my womanly soul were thirsty for and in need of. I really think this is my favorite of yours at this point, and that's a tough call to make! ;) I love your writing, your expression, your depth. It reaches in and grabs me when I need it and just where I need it.
