Wishing

Wishing

A Poem by B30
"

Poem about a man.

"
Lonely nights drinking
Everyday's a weakling
He drops the bottles to the floor
He's already tired of living

Acquisitions with his fiancée
And his daughter Lindy
He crashes the car
And a few more bottles of whiskey

He's wishing, tormenting every minute
He takes the picture and burns it
With his family portrait hanging
He gives himself some double slapping

He's a judge in questioning
A criminal in a jail cell
He's a felon in prison
And this time he's just wishing

Sounds like poor choices abound. This poem seems so final with grim certainty...
