Story of the not so odd couple

Everybody talks. That is usually the easy part, anybody can talk about anything, but there are some that possess the quality "to get the job done." A real man has certain qualities, certain, very, distinct qualities. He can step into any given situation, take it for what it is worth, and make the best of it, as best he can. A real man accepts the storms, and it's elements, because he is weathered. He has self-control, he is decisive, and he is confident. He keeps his cool, and he can defend himself. He chooses not to attack, and his nature will either unintentionally create fear, confuse, or put a smile on the face of his attacker, because a real man loves a good laugh. A real man does not retaliate, but he does reciprocate. A real man does not make promises that he will not keep, and when a real man cries, it is powerful. A real man knows pain, and he is always humble. A real man does not brag and he does not gossip. He is always respectful, because respect is given to him before he enters the door. He is self-assured, because he knows, if he did not make the right decision, or make the best, that he did what he can do and he accepts the outcome of what will come next. A real man does not create excuses. He is intelligent, even if not intellectual, and he is spoken, even when he does not speak. A real man never strides, he walks, yes, a real man is simple, and he is not various in his nature. A real man has a voice, so he speaks up when he has a word to be heard. When a real man is questioned he will answer. A real man is not premeditated, even if it is assumed he is. A real man fully finishes his plate, and he always pays his debts. He knows the value of things, including the value of himself, because he has created his own fortune. A real man always knows what he is good at. A real man takes care of himself, and a real man is always governed by his constitution. Yet most recognizable of all, a real man provides security. In himself and the people who surround him. Those who are around him know that he can handle his own tribulation, and also carry the weight of theirs without question. You know you are provided for in the presence of a real man, you know you are safe, and you feel cared for. You are protected, and you are never surrounded, you are never cornered, because you have the privilege of a real man to hold you steady. Lastly, the most important factor of a real man, is that he is always backed by the love, and the strength, and the word of a good woman. This is because in the participation of the defining of real men, a good woman truly knows who they are, and will, without fail, against all trial and opportunity, always have the last say in who is who. A good woman is the fertile ground, and the foundation of where the real men are tested, sorted, conglomerated, initiated, and where they are made. This is a homagé to the ones who have heard my words and seen them through their own eyes. This, is an ode to my parents.
