The Gambit

The Gambit

A Poem by B1ack_P3ter

We each gamble everyday

Whether it be for women or pay.

We gamble with our lives

You'd see if you looked through my eyes.

We gamble with our hearts

Our most valueable parts

But for something

Worth so much more.

We gamble for love,

Fleeting like a dove.

It soothes our hearts,

Our most cherished parts.

It gives us purpose

Like no other

To live for another,

It brings more joy than a circus.

We'd even bet our life

Or your neighbor's sweet wife

If it meant

You got even just a hint.

We love to gamble

We love to love

But my, listen to me ramble,

Oh look! A Dove!

I like it bro,but to be honest the rhyme scheme seems a bit random to me. Maybe it's just me being mean,I dun think so,but either way I still like the concept and the words you chose :) great job!
