MISLEADING IS MY PROFESSION

MISLEADING IS MY PROFESSION

A Poem by Brenda Naliaka
"

This poem talks of a person who likes pretending to be a friend yet is a big enemy

"
i always am by your side at all times
To give you  encouragement, hope and advise.
All this to mislead you.
I pretend to be a good friend who cares so much.
Yet I am an enemy who doesn't care.
Before you I am a beautiful rose
But trust me,behind your back,I am a thorn.
I happen to be the perfect definition of a devil.
But for you,I am an angel who only exists in your life.
I am equivalent to a green snake in the green grass
but for you,I am a bright ray of light in darkness

'Lets go to the movies this Saturday' ,I say
But in real sense I shall not be there I don't say.
'Lets not do the assignment now,'I suggest
But when checking time comes I have completed all.
'Lets walk to the night club today lovely one'
'I am sorry I can't make it,later on' I say.
'I think I am too sick to go out,'I excuse myself.
All this I do with one aim.
All this I do knowingly.
All this I d to see you fail.
All this I do to see myself better than the best.
For me your feelings don't mater.
Your goodness will not affect me.
But your failure will be my happiness.
I am everywhere and I bet you can't get rid of me.
Why then not do what is expected of you.
Because for me;MISLEADING MY PROFESSION.
